San Diego Children's and Newborn Baby Photographer | Little Sprout Photography

The afternoon before Kieran started kindergarten, we got him and two of his buddies together at the park for an impromptu photo shoot to commemorate the occasion. All three boys were really excited to show off their backpacks, eat apples, and run around in the park. Ainsley even got into the spirit by proudly holding up the chalkboard.

This was a fun shoot. The light was great, the sky was slightly overcast, and we didn’t really have too much of a set plan — we just let the kids play together and ran after them with the camera, which usually results in the most natural photos.

Friends and fellow photographers, the Donovons, asked for a quick photo session to get a few family photos with their daughter, Penny. In just over 20 minutes, we covered several spots at Discovery Lake in San Marcos and only had one run-in with a swarm of mosquitoes. :)

Penny was one of the happiest babies we’ve ever shot — she squealed and laughed whenever I held up her animal glove. A few of our favorite photographs are below.

We had the best time on this cool, misty morning in La Jolla. Sarah and Scott were great sports: climbing out on the rocks, braving the brief rain, and feeling a “Titanic” moment. After our time at Windansea beach, we went back to their beautiful home to take a few more pictures with them and their adorable goldendoodle puppy. We’re looking forward to photographing their baby in another week or so!

It had been exactly 365 days since we had last photographed Josh and Jaden. We had a ball with them in their amazing back yard and at the beach. I think this every time I hold a baby that we photograph and I thought this on this amazing sunny January day at the beach – this has to be the best job.

We had a great time with the H family a few weeks ago. Our first attempt was rained out, but we were rewarded with a beautiful sunny day on our second try! The boys had so much fun exploring the park and playing at the beach.
